Changes to workplace first aid

The Health and Safety Executive (HSE) has recently announced the biggest changes to the first aid at work regulations for over 25 years.

From October 1st 2009, the current four day First Aid at Work course will become a three day course and a new, HSE-accredited one day Emergency First Aid at Work course will be created.

fast (first and & safety training) and other leading first aid organisations have been involved in the consultation since the early stages. We are fully prepared to inform and support our clients, old and new, through the changes.

On the following pages you’ll find all the information you’ll need to answer any initial questions you have about how first aiders and businesses will be affected and what you need to do to comply with the new regulations – please click here.

Our website will, of course, be kept up-to-date with any further developments such as the announcement of the exact content of the new courses.

Please view the changes to the HSE Workplace First Aid requirements.
