First Aid at Work + Paediatric First Aid - 3 Day - RQF Level 3
Who Should Attend:
This course combines an Ofqual accredited First Aid at Work training course (FAW) with an Ofqual accredited full paediatric first aid course. By the end of the 3 day course, attendees will be trained in all essential first aid procedures for both adults and children, where guidance often differs (such as for performing CPR), as well as learning about specific childhood health conditions and symptoms. Upon completion, attendees will be awarded 2 Level 3 RQF qualifications, meeting the requirements for a child minding NVQ as well as for being a qualified workplace first aider.
As the course teaches first aid skills for adults and children, it is particularly ideal for staff who typically work in an environment with large numbers of children. They’ll be able to provide the legally required first aid coverage for their colleagues whilst having the skills to administer first aid to children of all ages. These staff could include:
- Amusement park staff
- Restaurant staff
- Airline cabin crew
- Retail workers
As well as equipping them for any first aid emergency at work, the skills to treat both adults and children are invaluable for family life.
The nationally recognised FAW certificate received at the end of this course is valid for 3 years. The course meets all relevant guidelines and is recognised by the HSE. Whether the casualty is an adult or child, attendees of this course will be equipped with the knowledge, skills and confidence to handle a wide range of emergency situations – from minor injuries to life-threatening conditions like choking, anaphylaxis and cardiac arrest. With this course, you will be able to administer the right treatment quickly and confidently in any scenario, potentially saving a life.
This 3 day course includes course materials, expert tutoring and practical exercises to give learners an in depth knowledge of treating a variety of illnesses and injuries in both adults and children, including:
